This is the first day of my life

The title of this post is from the Bright Eyes (Conor Oberst) song, which captures the feeling of being awoken by a new romantic interest. The same feeling can be applied to your life goals. Or as Fleetwood Mac sung "yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone," if you happen to be an older, glass-half-empty type.

This is the first day of my life is how you should approach your marketing/communications mix. It's never too late and it's easy to think about Julia Child learning how to cook in her 50s and know that is definitely true.

New beginnings

I'm writing this around 6 a.m. on the Saturday of 2017's Labor Day weekend. It's the perfect time to ponder recharging your batteries and tap into new inspiration. Get in touch with what drives your spirit. For me it's always been making sure I am in good physical health.

Today, I pledge to deliver tips for life. These are for myself, but hopefully you can apply the principles in your life:

1.) Paraphrased from a book I need to reread (On Writing Well): Write with fewer, stronger words.

2.) Exercise in the morning: It sets the tone for the day, energizes you and you get it done.

Next post is definitely going to be about Getting It Done.
